Bihar SIR 2025: Election Commission releases final voter list for 2025 Assembly election

The final voter list has been uploaded on the ECI’s website.

65 lakh names deleted in draft

The Bihar SIR exercise has been under intense scrutiny by the Opposition for the deletion of 65 lakh names of people who had passed away, moved out, or whose names had been listed as duplicate entries.

The physical copies of the electoral rolls will be sent to District Election Officers and District Magistrates. These rolls will also be sent to all recognised political parties,  the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar has said.

To be included in the new electoral roll, as many as 16.59 lakh voters submitted Form-6 during the claims and objections process under the voter verification exercise.

The Patna District magistrate issued a statement on X, saying that the total number of electors in Patna is now 48,15,294, “which is 1,63,600 more than the total number of electors, 46,51,694, included in the draft list published on August 1, 2025”.

How to check your name on the final voter list?

To check if your name has been included in the final voter list, follow these steps:

• Go to https://voters.eci.gov.in/
• Click on Download SIR Draft Roll or Click here to go directly to the site
• Select your district, assembly constituency, and language.
• Select ‘Final Roll-2025’ under the ‘Roll Type’ dropdown menu.
• Select the correct Part number and Name
• Fill in the correct Captcha.
• Click on ‘Download selected PDFs’.
