Bihar polls: Chirag Paswan’s LJP names 14 of 29 candidates

The list of 14 has six upper-caste candidates (three Bhumihars, two Rajputs, and one Brahmin); three belong to the Paswan community, two are Yadavs, two are Vaishyas and one from the Pasi community.

The Union Minister Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), which is contesting on 29 seats as part of the NDA, released its first list of 14 candidates on Wednesday. The party has fielded its Bihar state chief Raju Tiwari from Govindganj.

The list of 14 has six upper-caste candidates (three Bhumihars, two Rajputs, and one Brahmin); three belong to the Paswan community, two are Yadavs, two are Vaishyas and one from the Pasi community.

Of the 14 seats in the first list, eight were won by the RJD in 2020. One each went to JD(U) and BJP, and three were won by Left parties (two by CPI(ML) and one by CPI). LJP(RV) had independently fielded 135 candidates in 2020, winning only one.
