As poll battle intensifies with merely a day to go for Bihar Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and says, “two prices roaming in Bihar, including one from Delhi who has been insulting ‘Chhathi Maiya’. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of indulging in “vote chori” in Bihar, claiming they were doing so out of fear that the NDA would lose the ongoing Assembly elections. Addressing a rally in Aurangabad, he alleged that the Prime Minister wants the youth to stay occupied making social media reels instead of questioning the government, and said the INDIA bloc, if voted to power, would form a government representing the extremely backward, socially marginalised, and Dalit communities.

Apart from that, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that 3.6 crore people in Bihar will received free health insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Addressing a poll rally in the state, he also announced that an IT park will be set up in Darbhanga to generate employment opportunities for the youth. “People from Mithila, Koshi, Tirhut need not go to Patna, Delhi for treatment, they will get facilities at AIIMS-Darbhanga,” he said.

Bihar Assembly Elections LIVE Updates: Rahul Gandhi alleges Haryana Assembly Polls were 'stolen', claims 25 lakh fake voters, EC–BJP collusion

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections were “stolen” through large-scale voter list manipulation, claiming over 25.4 lakh fake entries.

Presenting data at a press conference, Gandhi accused the Election Commission, including Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, of colluding with the BJP under “Operation Sarkar Chori” to convert a Congress landslide into defeat. Bihar Assembly Elections LIVE Updates: Confident of biggest-ever NDA win, rout of 'jungle raj people' in Bihar, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asserted that the people of Bihar have made up their mind to ensure that the NDA breaks the record of its scale of victory in the last 20 years and not allow the return of "jungle raj people", who would suffer their worst-ever defeat in the upcoming assembly elections.

The prime minister also took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, saying the two "princes" have been roaming across the state and the one from Delhi had even insulted 'Chhathi Maiya'.

Modi urged the women to ensure that they turn out in huge numbers to ensure a mega win for the NDA and forfeiture of deposits of those who insulted Chhathi Maiya and brought "jungle raj" to Bihar.

"The women workers of the Bihar BJP are doing splendid work with the resolve of 'Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot'," Modi said, interacting with women BJP-NDA workers in Bihar via NaMo App.

The campaigning for the first phase of elections in Bihar concluded on Tuesday. Modi said he has been addressing public meetings in Bihar and every rally was breaking the record of the previous one, with women turning up in very large numbers.

"I have been observing the polls closely and it is confirmed that the NDA is winning and it is winning big. So, I have no questions about the victory but (I want) there should be more and more polling," the prime minister said.

Interacting with a BJP worker, who said there is tremendous enthusiasm among the people for the NDA, Modi said her words echo the feeling prevailing among the poor, Dalits, Maha Dalits, backward and extremely backward sections of the society.

"People of Bihar have made up their mind to break the record of the scale of victory of the NDA in the last 20 years while the 'jungle raj people' will suffer their worst defeat in the state," he said.

The prime minister has been using the "jungle raj" analogy to attack the Mahagathbandhan. 'Jungle raj' is an apparent reference to the time when Bihar was under the rule of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi.

In his remarks, Modi said the NDA government is committed to improving the ease of living for women and empowering them.

"Women get opportunities to progress when good governance prevails and the rule of law is established in the state. That is why the daughters of Bihar are now becoming job providers through self-employment," he said.

The prime minister said that during the era of jungle raj, it was difficult for women to step out of their homes, but now that is not the case.

"Now, women work fearlessly in hospitals, railway stations and other places even during night hours," he said.

"The women of Bihar have stood like a wall against jungle raj," Modi said, adding that they have resolved to never allow the return of those unruly times.

"This is the reason the proponents of jungle raj are busy telling all sorts of lies to the women of Bihar," he said.

Bihar will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and 11. The counting of votes will be taken up on November 14.

The INDIA opposition bloc has declared Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav its chief ministerial candidate for the Bihar polls.

Bihar Assembly Elections LIVE Updates: Nadda uses acronym 'HIRA' to highlight growth in Bihar under NDA rule

BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Tuesday used the acronym 'HIRA', which means diamond in Hindi, to highlight the growth witnessed in Bihar under the NDA rule, especially in road, rail, air and internet connectivity.

The union minister, who addressed a rally in Bhojpur district, on the final day of campaign for the first phase of assembly polls in the state, also alleged that the RJD, the main opposition party, stood for 'rangdari' (extortion), 'jungle raj' (lawlessness) and 'dadagiri' (intimidation).

“The people of Bihar might recall the 'Lathi tel pilawan' rally called by RJD president Lalu Prasad in his heyday. It was a clear signal to his detractors that they were better off cowering inside their homes. The state must beware of the party, which is trying to lure voters through promises but in essence remains the same, wearing new clothes”, alleged Nadda.

He urged voters to "shower blessings on the NDA and ensure that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar retains power".

"The state has discovered 'HIRA' under the BJP-led coalition. H stands for highways, I for internet, R for Railways and A for airports. You all can vouch for the improvement on these counts in the last 20 years”, the BJP president said.

Nadda also claimed that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre was working towards rapid poverty alleviation, with “over three crore people in Bihar alone having been pulled out of the clutches of deprivation”.
