Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Friday announced metro services will start early at 4:15 am on Mondays. The new timings will be effective from January 13.
A BMRCL spokesperson stated that the decision was taken to enhance connectivity for passengers returning to the city after spending the weekend elsewhere. “The revised timings will ensure passengers have access to metro services as soon as they arrive, easing their commute and saving time,” the official noted.
This initiative aims to benefit passengers disembarking at the City Railway Station and the Kempegowda Bus Stand, ensuring smoother last-mile connectivity for early-morning travellers.
BMRCL clarified that this change applies exclusively to Mondays, with no alterations to metro operating hours on other days of the week. Services will continue as per the existing schedule from Tuesday to Sunday, with operations starting at 5:00 am.
