The Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated the Air Force Day at the Hindon Air Force Station on Wednesday. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A P Singh inspected the Guard of Honour at the 93rd Indian Air Force Day celebrations at Hindon air base under the Western Air Command in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He said the nation was proud of the IAF's feats during Operation Sindoor against Pakistan's terror bases. Prior to the event, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi went to the National War Memorial to pay their tributes. The indigenously developed Netra Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AEW&C) and the Akash Surface-to-Air Missile System are also being displayed at the Hindon Air Station. Speaking at the event, he said praised India's forces in defence as well as domestic rescue and relief operations. He said: "Beyond the combat role, the Indian Air Force has consistently demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations, both within India and abroad. IAF was the first responder to numerous domestic disasters, providing various support to states like Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Assam and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi praised India's air warriors for their "bravery, discipline and precision", and their "vital role in safeguarding our skies". Amit Shah said: "The very name of the force evokes immense pride in the hearts of Indians. Whether it is carrying the weight of national security or salvaging lives during natural calamities, the Indian Air Force stands tall with its steely courage and unflinching patriotism." President Murmu, too, posted on X: "The Indian Air Force has always demonstrated courage, commitment, and excellence." Rahul Gandhi also extended his "heartfelt greetings and salute to the brave warriors of the Indian Air Force on Air Force Day".
