Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday attacked the opposition, accusing it of corruption and said 21 parties have come together to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.
“Opposition leaders gathered in Patna. All of them did a press conference on a big stage. I also saw the press conference. I am in politics for many years. I thought, who are these people who have gathered? They were from 21 parties and were those who do corruption of 21 lakhs,” said Shah while addressing a public meeting in Udaipur on Friday.
Shah also challenged the opposition and said none of them could level a single accusation of corruption against the Modi government. “These 21 parties, those who do corruption of 21 lakhs, they have come together to make Rahul Baba the PM,” he said.
Shah added that if Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister, then corruption will become the country’s destiny while if Modi becomes the PM again, then those who engage in corruption will go to jail.
“All these 20-21 parties, they don’t think of your good but think of the future of their sons. I can say by names. The entire objective of Sonia ji’s life is to make Rahul ji the Prime Minister. Lalu ji’s ambition is to make his son Tejashwi the PM. Mamata ji’s ambition is to make her nephew Abhishek the chief minister, Stalin ji’s interest is to make his son Udhayanidhi the chief minister and Gehlot ji’s interest is to make Vaibhav the chief minister. Tell me, can they do your good? The time is coming for the country’s public to decide whether to vote for the person who works for his son, or the person who is working for the country,” said Shah.
“The support that I have seen across the country for Modi ji, it is certain that Narendra Modi ji will once again become the Prime Minister in 2024 with 300 seats,” said Shah.
Shah also spoke about the welfare schemes of the Modi government. “For the first time, 75 years after Independence, Narendra bhai has brought glory to all the adivasis in the country by making a tribal woman from a poor family, from Droupadi Murmu to Mahamahim Droupadi Murmu,” said Shah, speaking at the tribal-dominated Udaipur.
Shah also accused the previous UPA government of failing to tackle terrorism. “Ye nau saal mein, Modi ji ne desh ko surakshit kiya. Ye Sonia-Manmohan ki sarkar thi, aye din Pakistan se Aliya, Maliya, Jamaliya ghus jaate the aur hamare yahan bam dhamake karte the (Modi ji has made the country secure. There was Sonia-Manmohan government, every other day, Aliya, Maliya, Jamaliya would enter from Pakistan and carry out bomb blasts here),” Shah said.
