“Apart from the resolution, there will be a discussion on this government’s pledge in Amrit Kaal for Viksit Bharat (a developed India) and its resolve to establish good governance as in Ram Rajya,” the source said.
“The discussion could be about what kind of a country we want to build and what kind of leadership we should have,” the source said, adding that the Prime Minister may speak in Lok Sabha just before the end of the session.
According to the Lok Sabha list of business for Saturday, former Union Minister Satya Pal Singh, BJP MP from Baghpat, and Shrikant Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena MP from Kalyan, will raise the discussion under Rule 193.
Earlier this week, demanding that the country be renamed as Bharat, Satya Pal Singh had said in Lok Sabha that Modi was working towards “establishing Ram Rajya”.
“We will not rest until Ram Rajya is established. Mahatma Gandhi spoke about establishing Ram Rajya during the freedom struggle. The Prime Minister is following the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, Maharshi Dayanand and Deen Dayal Upadhyay, and has been working towards establishing Ram Rajya in the country,” Singh said.
On January 25, the Union Cabinet, meeting for the first time after the Ayodhya temple ceremony, adopted a resolution congratulating Modi on the consecration ceremony and said that while “the body of the country attained independence” in 1947, the “Pran Pratishtha of its soul was done on January 22, 2024”, and “everyone experienced spiritual bliss”.
The resolution, read out by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, called the Cabinet meeting “historic… Cabinet of the Millennium”. It hailed Modi as “Jananayak and a transformational leader” who had “fulfilled a centuries-old dream”, one that “Indian civilisation had dreamt for five centuries”.
