The Chakshu Portal is complemented by the Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP), which enhances information sharing with law enforcement agencies, banks, and financial institutions to combat fraudulent activities comprehensively.
If one is receiving unwanted communications, it can be reported through the Chakshu Portal. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
Submit the complaint for the service provider to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the sender. The portal may provide a complaint reference number for future reference. One can also track the status of the complaint.
The following is a list of things that you can report on the Chakshu portal:
1. KYC issues related to banks, electricity, gas connections, insurance policies, etc.
2. Impersonation as a government official or relative.
3. Fake customer care helplines.
4. People offering suspected online jobs, lottery, gifts, and loan offers.
5. Sextortion.
6. Multiple automated or robotic communications.
7. Messages containing malicious links or websites.
8. Any other suspected fraud.
