Salman Khan bashes Jiya Shankar for making Elvish Yadav drink soap-water on Bigg Boss OTT 2: ‘You can’t be saying sorry with a smile on your face’

Bigg Boss OTT 2 fans were quite disappointed recently when Jiya Shankar made Elvish Yadav drink water mixed with soap as a prank. The TV actor shared that she did not think much about it and blamed Elvish for not realising that the water was spiked. On the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan took up the issue and bashed Jiya for her actions. As she laughed while apologising for the same, the Bollywood star shot back, “Bateesi dikhake koi apologetic nahi hota (You cannot be apologetic while showing your teeth).”

Salman started by offering a glass of water with red chilli for Jiya, and asked her to have a sip of it. However, he stopped her in just time and mentioned how one shouldn’t cause another human pain. Salman read the components of the handwash informing how it has acids that can fatally affect a person. He discussed the incident and quizzed Jiya on her intention. The actor shared that she now feels stupid about it and has already apologised to everyone.

“Jiya now also you are smiling all throughout. Dekho yeh maafi maangne ka tareeka hai nahi. Yeh bateesi dihake koi apologetic nahi hota. Smile karte hua koi aise sorry nahi bolta (This is not the way to apologise. You are smiling and laughing, that’s not how one should say sorry),” he told her. Salman also pulled her up for not stopping him from drinking it and said that it shows her personality. He also showed his displeasure at other housemates for not stopping her.

Even then, Jiya continued laughing and said she might be smiling but feels bad about her actions. She apologised to Elvish Yadav once again, while the YouTuber asked her to forget about it.

For the unversed, the wild card contestant Elvish Yadav was assigned the job of a dictator while other housemates had to follow his commands. As he asked Jiya for a glass of water, she mixed soap in it and offered it to him. Unsuspecting Elvish gulped down the water.

It was only after Jiya and Avinash Sachdev were caught laughing about it that co-housemate Abhishek Malhan raised an alert. After they smelled the water, they realised it was spiked, post which Elvish confronted Jiya. In her defense, she shared how the water looked contaminated and also smelled of soap, yet he drank it. She said Elvish should have known and been careful. While Avinash supported her, other housemates criticised her move of risking someone’s health.
