Ranbir Kapoor reveals he used to gift Neetu Kapoor’s jewellery to ex-girlfriends, thinking ‘you will become daughter-in-law anyway’

Kapil Sharma’s latest venture with Netflix – The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered last night. And while it brought the same old content dished out on a new plate, there was nothing refreshing to see except for Sunil Grover’s return on the show. While Kapil Sharma and his team failed to cast a very striking impact on the viewers, the conversation that brewed with Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Neetu Kapoor had a few decent moments. One such moment was when Ranbir revealed that he used to gift his mother’s jewellery to his former girlfriends.

This was shown in the show’s trailer earlier, however, a little extension to this was when Ranbir shared why he chose to do so. When Kapil revisited a statement Neetu had made about Ranbir gifting sister Riddhima’s clothes to his girlfriends, Ranbir quickly added to that saying he would even go around distributing his mother’s jewellery. Further, Neetu shared how she would react to seeing the girls wearing her jewellery and said, “I was like what is this girl wearing? This is mine.” Ranbir added to this revealing his idea behind giving something so expensive to his girlfriends and shared, “In my mind, I thought ‘you will be the daughter-in-law anyway, so keep it’.”

Neetu also revealed that since Ranbir’s pocket money was not that much, he was not able to buy expensive gifts to which the actor jokingly says, “Bada haath mara hain mein ne (It was a big steal).” Another fun highlight of the episode was the interaction between Sunil Grover’s character Dafli and Ranbir Kapoor. While Sunil enacted a parody of Animal with Ranbir, the spoof on the film from others did not manage to grab that kind of attention.

Another interesting thing discussed on the show was about Ranbir’s daughter Raha, he shared that he has changed her diapers and has also been a burp specialist. But more than that, just looking at his daughter sleeping is something the Animal actor loves, he even shared that ever since he has become a father, he does not feel like going out anywhere or even doing any work for that matter.
