Manoj Bajpayee demands a crossover between Family Man’s Srikant Tiwari and Paatal Lok’s Haathi Ram. Jaideep Ahlawat responds

He added, “Do you think Srikant and Hathiram can come together? I am just trying to get an extra cheque (from Amazon) (chuckles).”

Jaideep, who is known for his dry-wit humour, responded to Manoj’s query by saying, “I think if that happens my cheque will get bigger. Aparna (Purohit, head of Originals at Amazon Prime Video) is standing here only, let’s ask her…” to which Aparna said, “It is impossible to get any secret out of me.”

Jaideep then said, “If that happens, it would be big, it will be killer!” adding to Jaideep’s response, Manoj said, “If Srikant and Hathiram come together, then kamaal ho jaayega. I have been trying for years.”

Manoj then panned towards Paatal Lok’s director Avinash Arun and said, “I am a very big fan of this director. I have been struggling for many years. It is in my DNA. So, I keep struggling, keep hustling. I keep asking for roles from the directors I want to work with. I asked (him) for a role when we met at Prithvi (theatre). I asked for a role when we met in Andheri somewhere. I asked for a role even on the pavements of New York, in the middle of the road. But all he had to say is, ‘Dekhta hoon sir, baat karta hoon sir.’ Give me a confirmed response some time!”

At the slate announcement event on Tuesday, Amazon Prime Video announced the season 3 of Raj and DK’s The Family Man starring Manoj Bajpayee and Paatal Lok season 2 as a part of the slate of 70 new original shows for the year 2024- 2025.
