61st Baeksang Arts Awards Full Winners List: When Life Gives You Tangerines and Harbin win big, with stars like Kim Tae Ri, Jo Jung Suk, and Chae Won Bin taking home top honours in acting categories.

The Baeksang, South Korea’s biggest awards night honouring the year’s best storytelling, drama, and actors across film, television, and theatre, aired its 61st edition on April 5, 2025. The results are out, and there are some major shocks and surprises. While one of the most talked-about K-dramas, When Life Gives You Tangerines, snagged a few major wins, its actors, Park Bo Gum and IU, unfortunately, lost their Best Actor and Actress awards. Meanwhile, the second most talked-about show, Lovely Runner, also saw its actors lose the race; however, they did win the popularity vote. Here is the complete winners list.
Baeksang Arts Awards 2025 winners
When Life Gives You Tangerines wins the Best Drama award
Netflix hit When Life Gives You Tangerines, inspired by a real-life Jeju couple and starring Park Bo Gum and IU in the lead roles, has won the Baeksang Award in the Best Drama category. The show revolves around Oh Ae Sun and her life partner Gwan Sik, who have remained inseparable since childhood. The childhood sweethearts turned lovers get married early and battle life’s hardships, smiling through every tangerine (lemon) thrown at them by life, while sticking together and facing it all—raising a family, getting their kids married, and just as life goes on, thinking the next spring might be better. The slice-of-life K-drama was hailed as one of the most relevant shows in recent times. The drama was up against Lovely Runner, The Tale of Lady Ok, Doubt, and The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. The show received a total of 8 nods, followed by Doubt that received 6, and the rest at five. When Life Gives You Tangerines also snagged awards in categories like Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (Choi Dae Hoon), and Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye Ran).
