Actor Anupriya Goenka, who was recently seen in the second season of Asur, has opened up about how her intimate scenes with Saif Ali Khan in Sacred Games were deleted from both the seasons of the Netflix show. Anupriya said that Saif was more conscious than her while shooting and added that he made sure to check on her after every scene. Goenka played Saif’s ex-wife Megha in Sacred Games.

On a recent IVM Pop podcast, Goenka said, “They (the makers) gave me a disclaimer. There was supposed to be some intimate scene between me and Saif. There was this one intimate scene, for which we shot, but it got deleted from season 1. So I shot for the first season as well, but all my scenes got deleted for some reason.”

Anupriya called Saif a “very elegant” person and said, “Saif is a sweetheart. He is the most ‘nawabi,’ very elegant, very well versed and very intelligent human being. He was so down to earth and a very cute person. I remember when we were doing these intimate scenes, Vikram told me, ‘Don’t worry, look at him (Saif) he is more conscious than you’. After each scene he came and asked me ‘Are you okay?’ After a point, I said ‘I am good, are you okay’.”

Helmed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Neeraj Ghaywan, Sacred Games also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and Kubbra Sait among others. Saif played the role of inspector Sartaj Singh on the show.
