Following a public altercation between veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu and his younger son Manchu Manoj on Tuesday, Mohan’s elder son Vishnu Manchu, who recently returned from Los Angeles, addressed the matter during a press meet. The incident escalated after Mohan accused Manoj and his wife Bhuma Mounika of plotting to take over his property. Subsequently, Manoj was seen attempting to forcibly enter Mohan’s house in Jalpally, Hyderabad. During the scuffle, Mohan Babu allegedly got into a physical altercation with a video journalist.

Speaking about the incident, Vishnu confirmed that his father is currently in the hospital and defended him, saying, “The only mistake my father has made is to love us all a lot. No family is perfect, so I still hope there’s light at the end of the tunnel. My father did not intentionally hurt the reporter; he just reacted to his space being invaded, which happened in the heat of the moment. I’m in touch with the reporter’s family because what happened was unfortunate. But I have no right to correct my father.”

Vishnu also revealed that he and his father have been called by the Rachakonda police for investigation. “I wasn’t even in the country, but out of respect for them, I’ll meet them,” he said.

Addressing speculation about familial disapproval of Manoj’s marriage to Mounika, Vishnu dismissed the claims. He stated, “He (Manoj) got married, he has a child now, and I hope he lives a hundred years with health and wealth. It’s definitely not the marriage (that’s an issue). My father has worked hard for every rupee he owns today; all he wants is for my brother not to stay at his home.”

Meanwhile, Lakshmi Manchu, Mohan Babu’s daughter and Manoj’s sister, posted cryptic messages amid the ongoing feud. On Thursday morning, she shared a quote from former Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius on X (formerly Twitter) that read, “What are you afraid of losing, when nothing in the world actually belongs to you.”Another note on her Instagram stories read as, “I just don’t want that for myself anymore, is a valid reason to stop anything.”

The conflict began on Monday when Mohan Babu filed a police complaint accusing Manoj and Bhuma Mounika of assault and conspiring to seize his property. Manoj, on the other hand, filed a counter-complaint with the police, alleging physical assault but refrained from naming any family members.

Tensions came to a head on Tuesday when chaos broke out at Mohan Babu’s Jalpally residence. Manoj reportedly tried to force his way into the house, only to be pushed back by private security personnel stationed there.
