Vennela Kishore reveals he had at first refused to do Chaari 111, director said he would shelve the project
Vennela Kishore will be seen playing the role of a spy in this upcoming Telugu film Chaari 111.

Telugu actor Vennela Kishore has been part of innumerable hit films but in a supporting role. His comic timing is something filmmakers vouch for. So, when director TG Keerthi Kumar approached him for the lead role in Chaari 111, Kishore turned it down. But the director was clear that it was either Kishore or no film.
In an interview with The Hindu, the prolific actor, who is known to keep a low profile, said, “At first, I refused to accept the film and told the director that I could play the (supporting) part he had assigned to Sathya.” However, Kishore revealed that Keerthi Kumar was clear that he would not make the film if the actor didn’t come on board.
Name a popular Telugu film, and Vennela Kishore is a part of it. After making his acting debut in the 2005 film Vennela, Kishore went on to do films various across genres.
Coming back to Chaari 111, the actor said that it was TG Keerthi Kumar’s wife who finally convinced him to do the film.

Kishore said, “These discussions went on for two months. His wife, Aditi, the producer of the film, convinced me. She has a knack for presenting things in such a manner that it is tough to say no.”
He added, “If I accept a lead role, I will need to schedule time for promotions, which is tough since I have several films lined up as a comedian. Since a digital release would require minimal promotions, I agreed.”
He also revealed that earlier the film was set for a digital release, but later when OTT platforms nudged filmmakers to go for the theatrical experience, the release platform was changed.
Chaari 111 is set to release on March 1.
