SS Rajamouli unveils first glimpse of Mahesh Babu-Priyanka Chopra’s film on actor’s birthday, calls it ‘GlobeTrotter’

Both SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu have promised fans a grand and unique reveal of their upcoming film, set to take place in November this year.

Ever since news broke that acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli would be collaborating with superstar Mahesh Babu, fans have been eagerly awaiting any update on the much-anticipated project. Now, the wait is finally over. Both Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu took to their social media platforms on Saturday to share the first official glimpse of the film, along with the intriguing hashtag #GlobeTrotter.

The teaser image, which appears to be the film’s first poster, features a close-up of Mahesh Babu’s chest. The actor is seen wearing a rugged, low-cut vest, smeared with blood. Adding a mythological touch, a pendant depicting Lord Shiva’s trishul and Nandi (the sacred bull) hangs prominently around his neck — hinting at possible thematic elements in the film. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed whether “#GlobeTrotter” is the film’s final title, speculation is already mounting. Rajamouli, known for his unconventional and stylised titles (like his last one RRR), may very well retain the hashtag as the movie’s name.

Mahesh Babu, who is also celebrating his birthday on Saturday, shared the image with a heartfelt message to fans: “Thank you for all the love. I am eagerly waiting, as you all are, for November 2025 to enjoy the reveal with all of you. #GlobeTrotter.” SS Rajamouli also shared the excitement in his post, shedding light on the scale and ambition of the project:

“Dear Cinema Lovers in India and around the world, as well as fans of Mahesh, It has been a while since we began shooting, and we appreciate your eagerness to know about the film. However, the story and scope of this film are so vast that I feel mere pictures or press conferences cannot do it justice. We are currently working on something to showcase the essence, depth, and immersive world we are creating. This will be unveiled in November 2025, and we are trying to make it a never-before-seen reveal. Thank you all for your patience.”

Reportedly, the film is a global jungle adventure, promising high-octane action and exotic locations, lending further credibility to the “GlobeTrotter” title. The film will also stars Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. While neither has shared the first glimpse yet, Prithviraj had previously confirmed his involvement in the project. Penned by Rajamouli’s father and frequent collaborator Vijayendra Prasad, the film officially began production in January 2025 following a grand puja ceremony.
