Samantha Ruth Prabhu says she had to let go of 15 brand deals and ‘crores of rupees’ last year: ‘I now vet my brands with 3 doctors…’
Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared that last year she was forced to take a second look at her brand endorsements.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently revealed that she had to walk away from 15 brand deals and ‘crores of rupees’ last year, as they no longer aligned with her current values.
In a recent interview with Foodpharmer, Samantha revealed that, in her 20s, she saw success in the entertainment industry as being defined by the number of projects and brand endorsements she had. While the actor was happy being the brand ambassador of “big multinational brands”, she was later forced to introspect her choices.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, “But today, I realise that I couldn’t be more wrong. I was almost forced to introspect on my choices and I knew I had to follow what feels right. Today, I feel that my younger self should apologise to my older self for doing all the nonsense and that’s exactly why I want to appeal to my younger followers to not think that they are invincible in their 20’s.”

She added, “I have learned the hard way that it is not! Those endorsements were done a very long time ago. I’ve said no to and let go of almost 15 brands just last year and of course crores and crores of money. Now every time there is an endorsement, I now vet my brands with 3 doctors before I agree to endorse it.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune condition, in 2022.
On the work front, Samantha has Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom and Maa Inti Bangaram in the pipeline.
