The makers of Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty's much-awaited film The Girlfriend announced its release date on Saturday. The update came shortly after reports of Rashmika’s engagement to Vijay Deverakonda went viral online. Production house Geetha Arts confirmed that The Girlfriend will hit theatres on November 7, 2025. Sharing a promo, they wrote on X, "WHO IS YOUR TYPE? Let's have this conversation with #TheGirlfriend in theaters from NOVEMBER 7th, 2025. In Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam #TheGirlfriendOnNov7th. #WhoIsYourType." Watch new promo of Rashmika Mandanna's The Girlfriend: The 1-minute-49-second promo opens with Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty in conversation at a restaurant. As Dheekshith places their order, Rashmika asks, “Each one of us has a type, right, Vikram? Do I belong to your type? How do you decide if two people are made for each other? More importantly, when do they discover this?” He responds, “Don’t tell me you’re suddenly wondering if I’m right for you.” Rashmika replies, “I also wonder if I’m right for you. People get into relationships for different reasons—but how many truly have that clarity?” The teaser ends with Dheekshith looking at her and asking, “Do you?” Rashmika then invites audiences to watch The Girlfriend in theatres on November 7, 2025. The film is produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi, and presented by Allu Aravind. It is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna will next be seen in Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror-comedy Thamma, alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She also has Rawindra Pulle’s action film Mysaa in her kitty.
