Pushpa 2 Trailer Launch: Allu Arjun says Pushpa ‘jhukega in front of love from Bihar’; makers astounded by ‘bigger than Andhra’ turnout

The event, which happened in Gandhi Maidan, Patna, was attended by Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, singer Nakash Aziz, director Sukumar, and producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar. Talking to a raucous Patna crowd, the makers acknowledged that this was an unbelievable turnout, and was something even they didn’t expect. “We didn’t even see a crowd like this in Andhra. We are stunned,” said Naveen. Adding to this sentiment, Ravi said, “The reception in Patna is exceptional. We haven’t seen this madness ever. We are blown away.” 

Distributor Anil Thadani of AA Films, who was previously involved with the massive pan-Indian blockbusters like Baahubali, RRR, and KGF, said, “Allu Arjun has created history, and I hope it reflects in the box-office numbers.” Incidentally, in another pre-release event, the makers expressed confidence that Pushpa: The Rule has the potential to be Allu Arjun’s maiden entry into the elusive Rs 1000 crore club.   

Talking to a vibrant Patna crowd in Hindi, Rashmika expressed her love for the kind of response she was getting right from the moment she stepped into the ground. “This is quite a high,” said the Animal actor, who turned into an emcee of sorts for the event by doing a vibe check with the audience, and urging them to go watch Pushpa 2 with their friends and families. 

Finally, it was time for Allu Arjun to take the stage, and he walked in soaking all the love, cheers, and wolf whistles from an enthusiastic crowd that had turned up to see him. Revealing that it was his first time in the state, Allu Arjun paraphrased his iconic line from the Sukumar directorial, and said, “Pushpa, jhukega nahi, but aapke pyaar ke saamne zarur jhukega (Pushpa never bows down to anyone, but he will now bow down to all your love).”

Pushpa: The Rule features not just the return of Allu Arjun and Rashmika, but also Fahadh Faasil, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Anasuya, Dhananjaya, Ajay, and others. Written and directed by Sukumar, the film will have songs by Devi Sri Prasad, and it is speculated that the background score will be a collaborative effort by Thaman, Ajaneesh Lokanath, and Sam CS.
