Prabhas’ Bhairava from Kalki 2898 AD bats for IPL 2024 in new promo. Watch

Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD character Bhairava made it to the small screen before his appearance on the silver screen.

Helmed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas in the lead role.

While fans of Telugu star Prabhas are waiting to see him as Bhairava in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD on June 27, the hero of the dystopian story has already made his appearance in a promo of Indian Premier League 2024 on Star Sports channel.

“Cricket is like war. Hold your breath, this is IPL’s maha match. For tomorrow, play today,” Prabhas says as he walks through what looks like a futuristic set. The actor is covered in futuristic armour and casually pushes away soldiers sitting in a car as he addresses the camera.

Though the promo doesn’t give any major update about Kalki 2898 AD, the glimpse seems to have set social media on fire as fans have made the video go viral.

Only recently, a teaser featuring Amitabh Bachchan was shared by the makers of Kalki 2898 AD. The promo revealed that Bachchan is playing the role of Hindu mythical character Ashwatthama[, who is immortal.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Pasupathy, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles.
