Mrunal Thakur calls Rashmika Mandanna ‘feisty’, revisits experience of working with Dulquer Salmaan: ‘He’s unaware of how wonderful he is’

Sharing what she likes the most about the Animal star, Mrunal said, “Rashmika’s energy. She is always on her toes and I love that about her. She is a feisty woman. I have never seen girls who are not afraid of choosing parts like Afreen and she did it. I don’t think anyone apart from Rashmika could do Afreen. I am happy that she is taking her own decisions.”

Talking about Vijay Deverakonda, with whom she has worked in the upcoming film Family Star, Mrunal said that he is “very calm and focused.”

Mrunal’s latest release was Hi Nanna, with Nani and she has some interesting observations about him.

“Nani garu is very instinctive and very aware of the cameras and everything,” said Mrunal before elaborating, “If something is not right, he will have a conversation with me and explain to me that ‘Mrunal…sorry Yashna’ (her character) and I like that because I am not Mrunal, I am Yashna at that point of time and he would say ‘Maybe you could try this’. So, all these inputs I keep getting from him also because he’s so experienced. It’s really nice to keep getting that feedback constantly and I like that because sometimes what I think and sometimes what I do when I go on sets, that one suggestion would just elevate the scene.”

Mrunal’s journey in the Telugu industry started with Sita Ramam in 2022, which was received positively by the audience. She says her co-star Dulquer is not aware of his prowess as a performer.

“Dulquer is not afraid to perform in different languages and one of the reasons why I am working in multiple languages is because of him. I’ve seen him and he is so courageous. I don’t think he is aware of how wonderful of a performer he is…He is so humble, and down to earth and he is constantly working hard. If you don’t know anything, he will google it. He will figure something out, he will find out people. He is so intelligent,” she said.

Dulquer was last seen in King of Kotha. He will be next seen in Lucky Baskhar, a movie with which he will be celebrating 12 years of his career as an actor.
