Jesse Eisenberg is busy promoting the much anticipated sequel Now You See: Now You Don’t, the third installment in the Now You See Me franchise. The Social Network star who made his directorial debut last year with the Academy Award-nominated Real Pain reunited with the regular cast lead by Isla Fisher for this film in the series.

Speaking about Indian cinema and his love for RRR, Jesse added, “I think every American saw that movie – RRR. It was incredible and had an interesting mix of some of our style of filmmaking and mainly, of course, it being an Indian film. ” The actor was also quick to point our that he had never been to India before though he came close once. “My favorite trip I’ve ever taken was to Nepal, many similarities, but I did not cross the border. RRR is one of the most popular films from India in the US, with directors like James Cameron and Steven Spielberg being the biggest fans of the films, often raving about the film during award shows and interviews with Rajamouli.

“Naatu Naatu’ won the Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards in 2023, a testament to the lasting popularity of the movie and the cultural shift RRR fostered. It changed the way Indian cinema was perceived outside the country.

Eisenberg will be seen in Now You See: Now You Don’t, also featuring Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Rosamund Pike among an ensemble cast. It tells the story of a diamond heist that forces the four horsemen and a new generation of illusionists in an effort to bring down an international criminal organization.
