Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya celebrated first Makar Sakranti as married couple on Tuesday. The actor shared a mirror selfie where she was dressed in a red saree, red bangles, bindi and mangalsutra (sacred thread traditionally worn by married women in many parts of India). Sobhita shared a series of photos via her Instagram story from the celebrations.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Sobhita Dhulipala shared glimpses of the celebrations. Sharing the photo of a bonfire, Sobhita wrote, “Bhogi, renewal, transformation.” She then shared a photo of the traditional rangoli and wrote, “Happy Sankranthi. Happy Pongal (red heart emoji).”

Sobhita then posted her selfie where she was seen dressed in a red saree and beige blouse with her hair tied in a bun. Sobhita also shared a photo featuring her and husband Naga Chaitanya’s feed.

The final photo was a sweet pongal and the actor shared it with a drooling face emoji.

Chaitanya and Sobhita made their relationship official in August last year after they shared photos of their engagement ceremony. Prior to that, they never confirmed or denied their relationship though they were rumoured to be dating and several photos from their vacations had emerged on social media platforms.

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got married on December 4 last year and the ceremony was held at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The wedding was attended by close friends and family members of the couple.

Actor Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu but got separated in October 2021.
