After leaving a lasting impression with his cameo appearance in the 2022 film HIT: The Second Case, Nani is all set to have a full fledged movie with his character IPS Arjun Sarkaar taking charge in the latest installment of the HIT franchise. Tentatively titled Nani 32 (the 32nd project in Nani’s career), the film’s official title, HIT: The 3rd Case, was revealed on September 5, coinciding with Teachers’ Day. The Saripodha Sanivaaram star took to his social media handles to share details about his new project, HIT: The 3rd Case, along with a thrilling teaser.

The teaser for HIT: The 3rd Case opens with a dark, foreboding atmosphere that sets a gripping tone for the film. It begins with an officer stationed at an army headquarters in Kashmir receiving a call about a threat to one of his officer’s life. The twist comes when it is revealed that the officer in question is none other than Nani. The scene transitions to Nani driving a white Bolero in style. The teaser concludes with a cryptic message from the stationed officer: “The officer who you think is in danger is himself dangerous.”

Sharing a poster, Nani introduced his character Arjun Sarkaar as “less of a cop and more of a criminal”. Along with the teaser, the actor also revealed the release date of the film–May 1, 2025. HIT: The 3rd Case, directed and written by Dr Sailesh Kolanu (also the director and writer of the first two films in the HIT franchise), will be produced under the banners Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions.

HIT: The 3rd case is the third part of the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) franchise. While the first film had actor Vishwak Sen in the lead role, the second movie starred Adivi Sesh. It was in the same film that both Nani and Vishwak Sen made special appearances.

Nani was recently seen in the film Saripodha Sanivaaram. Within a week of its release, the movie has earned a total of Rs 41.5 crore India net, according to Sacnilk.
