Her Devasena act and the chemistry with her co-star Prabhas aka Baahubali swept fans off their feet worldwide. Arundhati: It won’t be wrong to say this 2009 fantasy horror film made her a formidable force in the film industry. Besides setting the box office on fire, the film also gave the South Indian film industry a blockbuster template to make supernatural thrillers. Many filmmakers tried to do their own version of Arundhati with little success.

Vedam: Not many female actors of her league would have agreed to play a role of prostitute in this 2010 Telugu drama, which received critical acclaim. She delivered an impressive performance in the film even reprised her role when it was remade in Tamil as Vaanam in 2011. It shows her determination to challenge the stereotypes and upset the status quo in the film industry.

Billa: The sleek gangster drama was a remake of the 2007 Tamil film of the same name, which had Thala Ajith in the lead role.
