Dhruva is the official Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan. It has Jayam Ravi playing the daredevil cop. The music is composed by Hiphop Tamizha, who also composed for the Tamil original, and cinematography is by PS Vinod. Under Surender Reddy’s direction, the film also features Rakul Preet Singh who plays Ram Charan’s ladylove, apart from Arvind Swami who is playing a negative role.

The film got good reviews and was expected to be a big show for the star as it packs some heavy-duty action sequences shot in exotic and remote locations.

If the Dhruva’s collections stay at the current pace, the sum, as expected by trade pundits, might touch the Rs 100-crore mark.
