Daaku Maharaaj box office collection day 3: Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Deol’s action film has been performing exceptionally well at the domestic box office. According to the latest reports, the film has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark within three days of its release.

According to industry tracking website Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 25.35 crore on day one and Rs 12.8 crore on day two. On day three (Tuesday, January 12), it earned around Rs 12 crore net. The film has earned Rs 50.15 crore net so far. Daaku Maharaaj had an overall 50.39% Telugu occupancy on Tuesday with most people catching the film’s evening shows.

The film’s worldwide collection is also impressive, with Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments announcing that Daaku Maharaaj made Rs 74 crore gross worldwide within two days of its release. The film opened at Rs 56 crore gross worldwide on day one, making it Balakrishna’s highest opening.

But the film has also been embroiled in controversy. A section of the audience objected to the dance steps of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela in the song “Dabidi Dibidi”, deeming them vulgar. However, the strategic decision to release the film during the Sankranthi and Pongal festivals has paid off, providing a significant boost to its box office collection. As the film continues its run, it remains to be seen how it will perform in the coming days.

Daaku Maharaaj, directed by Bobby Kolli, features an ensemble cast, including Urvashi Rautela, Pragya Jaiswal, Shradda Srinath, and Chandhini Chowdary. The film marks Bobby Deol’s Telugu debut and has been written by Bobby Kolli. It opened to mixed reviews from critics. SCREEN’s Avinash Ramachandran gave the film a rating of two-and-a-half stars. In his review, he wrote, “This is the quintessential Balakrishna film, but it is burdened by the hangover of a number of films including Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, and his own filmography.”
