Virat Kohli’s Super V: Everything you should know about the animated series

Super V follows the story of a 15-year old teenager, a cricketing prodigy, as he discovers his superpowers and goes on to fight some of the biggest super villains to save the world.

An animated series based on ace Indian cricketer Virat Kohli titled Super V will go on air today.

Super V is inspired by Kohli’s childhood. The cricketer hopes the series will inspire young viewers and instill the values he learned when he was growing up. Kohli will also make an appearance in the series ‘distilling the events of every episode into life lessons that will inspire young India.’

“It is essential to have a complete upbringing with a good balance of academics and sports. As a teenager, inculcating values such as discipline, leadership and integrity, prove to be stepping stones in developing an individual’s overall personality,” Virat Kohli said at an event.

“I had the opportunity to connect with Super V and give him a little clarity in thought. In today’s world, children are always looking up to superheroes for inspiration, and I believe Super V aims to send out the right message to young viewers. I am ecstatic to be a part of this concept and to be associated with Star,” he added.

According to the makers, Super V follows the story of an adventurous 15-year old teenager, a cricketing prodigy as he discovers his superpowers and goes on to fight some of the biggest super villains to save the world. The show will also explore a young Virat’s relationship with his parents and with the world around him comprising his sister, friends and teachers.

Super V premieres on November 5, which marks the occasion of Virat Kohli’s 31st birthday, at 3.30 pm on Star Plus, Star Sports, Disney and Marvel HQ. If you are unable to catch it on television, the animated series will also stream on Hotstar.
