The Great Indian Kapil Show to be renewed for Season 2, Kapil Sharma says, ‘Won’t keep audience waiting’

Kapil Sharma and his team—Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur— will return with The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2.

Even before the grand finale of The Great Indian Kapil Show’s Season 1, the makers have announced the renewal of the show. Fans will see Kapil Sharma and his team—Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur—return on Netflix with Season 2.

The ongoing season of The Great Indian Kapil Show featured a diverse array of guests, including superstar Aamir Khan, actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family, cricket heroes Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer, international pop icon Ed Sheeran, and many other stars from the entertainment industry.

The finale episode of Season 1 will be released on June 22 and will feature Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan as the guest.

Brimming with joy at the renewal of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil Sharma shared, “This has been a wonderful first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. There have been many firsts and we will cherish those. We are grateful for all the love pouring in from across the globe. Earlier, in the middle of the first season, reports of The Great Indian Kapil Show suffering from low viewership surfaced. The show’s cast, however, hit back at these rumours, confirming that their contract with Netflix is getting over for Season 1 but they will return with a new season.

Kiku Sharda, who is a part of the show, had told News18, “We have done 13 episodes and the second season will come out soon. We have just wrapped up the first season. It was always meant to be like this. We have already planned the next season and it will come out soon. There won’t be a very huge gap.”
