Aamir Khan opens up about ‘tough emotional phase’ on The Great Indian Kapil Show: ‘I was low and depressed…’

On the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan spoke about going through a 'tough emotional phase'.

Comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma‘s Netflix show The Great Indian Kapil Show witnessed superstar Aamir Khan gracing the couch for the the first time. Yes, in the latest episode of the show, Aamir was the special guest and in the many years the superstar has spent in the industry, this was the first time he was seen on a show like this. During the episode, Aamir revealed that there was a very special and strong reason why he chose to be a guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

While the Laal Singh Chaddha actor spoke to Kapil about not gracing his shows in the last 11 years, he revealed that he went through a ‘tough emotional phase’ and Kapil’s comedy shows supported him. “It’s been 11 years, but I am attending it for the first time because my last two to two-and-a-half years have been very tough. I was going through a tough emotional phase. During this time, I watched comedy with Kapil and it supported me a lot. You guys made me laugh when I was low and depressed. That is when I felt I should come here,” Aamir shared.

While the episode had fun skits put up by Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek, there were many heartwarming moments too. In the episode, Aamir spoke about not attending award shows, and he even admitted how his last two outings on the big screen were bad. Other than this, the superstar also revealed how many in the industry keep calling him to guide their children, but his kids don’t listen to him. They don’t take any advice from him.

On the work front, Aamir Khan is next bringing to the big screen a film called Sitaare Zameen Par.
