Tehseen Poonawalla on being highest-paid Bigg Boss 13 contestant: Money doesn’t excite me

Before entering the show, Tehseen spoke exclusively to indianexpress.com. When we asked him why Bigg Boss 13, he answered, “Why not? I always love taking on new challenges. I am also someone who would never want to regret anything. So when the production team reached out to me, I decided to go for it. I didn’t want to look back and say wish I had done it.”

Even before he entered the show, there was a loud buzz in the industry that he is the highest-paid celebrity this season. Neither confirming nor denying the news, the columnist said, “I really don’t care about money. Honestly, it doesn’t even excite me. I am here only for the experience and I want to have a great time on the show.”

Last weekend, when Salman Khan introduced Tehseen Poonawalla on stage, the political analyst had announced that he will win the show. On quizzed whether it was his over confidence, he said, “I was just being honest. I am not a diplomatic person. It was not at all over confidence. I know I will win the show.”

Tehseen was also seen mentioning that he will form a new group, different from Sidharth Shukla and Paras Chhabra’s teams once he enters the show. Sharing more on that, he said, “I am a complete alpha male, so I don’t need to form a group. It will automatically be formed. I don’t think I will need to make any efforts for the same.”

For Tehseen Poonawalla, no one in the house is a threat as he shared, “I am my only competition. Though I do believe that others are also doing brilliantly in the game.” As for what he will add on the show, Tehseen said, “I don’t think the show is lacking in anything. But once I enter, I will definitely add more in the tasks.”

Being a public figure, who is also involved in politics, we wondered if he would be apprehensive of maintaining an image on the show. “The opposite of fear is Tehseen. Why will I worry that it will have a negative effect on my career. Nothing can take me down. On the other hand, I believe in positivity and will think that it would only benefit me in many ways,” he concluded.

Along with Tehseen Poonawalla, Shefali Jariwala, Khesari Lal Yadav, Arhaan Khan, Sidharth Shukla, Shehnaaz Gill, Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma have been nominated for this week’s eviction.
