In April, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh left his house in New Delhi with no intention of ever going back. While his disappearance caused a lot of concern to his co-stars and fans, not to mention his family, the actor resurfaced after 26 days, and said that he had embarked on a spiritual journey. Weeks after his disappearance, Gurucharan Singh spoke to Bombay Times about what really happened when he went off the radar, and claimed that he had no plans of coming back.
Gurucharan revealed that he has always been a spiritual person, and that he was feeling especially low when he decided to devote himself to God. He shared that he went on a spiritual journey without any plans of coming back, but later decided to return because God gave him a sign.
Addressing those calling his disappearance a publicity stunt, Gurucharan shared that if he wanted publicity, he would have given interviews talking about his pending dues from Tarak Mehta or taken to social media to create noise around it. He also pointed out that he never gave any interviews even after he returned, and only decided to speak because he wanted to clear certain misconceptions.
A few days back, Gurucharan Singh had shared a video of himself dancing with a friend, celebrating his safe return.
