Popular TV sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) has been making headlines after a cast member accused producer Asit Modi of harassment, which had a snowball effect and prompted several other cast members to open up about the alleged toxic environment on the show’s set. Recently, actor Monika Bhadoriya, who played the role of Baga’s love interest Bawri on the show, voiced her support for Jennifer, and also accused the production head of TMKOC of getting into fights with the actors.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Monika said that the culprit behind the toxic work culture is the production head Sohail, and accused him of throwing chairs on set. “He is rude to everyone, and sometimes, because of this behaviour, he gets into a brawl with the artists. Even though he got into so many fights with the actors, he is still the production head and instead, artists are leaving the show.”

The actor added, “There was an actor, who had to send medicines for his mother, and he was late to the sets. Sohail started yelling at him and he even raised his hand, and there was a lot of chaos. I am a witness to this incident.”

Monika said that Sohail was banned from the sets for two years because he got involved in a fight with a big actor. “He used to throw chairs on the sets. He was banned for two years and now he is back.” When asked if the treatment was the same with Disha Vakani, who starred as Daya on the show, the actor said, “Maybe.” Talking about Asit Modi, she said, “He supports his team, not the artists.”
