Shark Tank India 3: Aman Gupta blasts pitchers for ‘wasting everybody’s time’ after they reject his offer, says he’ll ‘stop trusting’ future entrepreneurs
Shark Tank India 3: Aman Gupta was offended when two entrepreneurs representing their jewellery brand refused to counter his offer.

Two sisters pitched their unique jewellery brand, Quirksmith, on a recent episode of Shark Tank India. But the pitch went from heartwarming to visibly uncomfortable after Aman Gupta accused them of wasting everybody’s time by outright rejecting his offer. Aman and Amit Jain were the only two sharks who took a shot at the entrepreneurs, but both of them backed out after being disappointed in their decision-making.
The sisters used Hindi poetry to pitch their products, silver jewellery embellished with inspirational messages, rustic designs and calligraphy. Anupam Mittal was unsure if the sisters would be able to scale the products from occasion wear to daily wear, and was also concerned about the lack of growth that the company had witnessed since its inception in 2022. In addition to all these question marks, the sisters were also asking for Rs 80 lakh in exchange of 1% equity, valuing the company at Rs 80 crore.
Amit said that he finds the valuation ‘unreasonable’, but made an offer nonetheless. Aman also made an offer, with the valuation being the same, but the terms being slightly different. The sisters took a moment to deliberate, and returned to inform both Amit and Aman that they don’t have any counter-offers, implying that they’d rejected all terms. Aman was offended.
“Aap aaye kyu humara time kharab karne ke liye (Why did you come here to waste our time)?” he asked, as Namita Thapar tried to tell him to be calm. “I’m out. You gave such a wonderful pitch, you told your stories so beautifully. You said you wanted to learn, to grow. Now, I’ll stop trusting entrepreneurs when they come on the show. There has to be some seriousness in the way you’re running your business, sorry,” he said. The sisters walked out with no deal, after Amit also backed out.
