Munawar Faruqui ties the knot for the second time; know all about his new wife Mehzabeen Coatwala

However, there has been no confirmation as of yet whether it is a love marriage or arranged. The couple tied the knot in Mumbai about 10 to 12 days ago and later had a wedding reception on Sunday at ITC Maratha. The source confirmed that only 100 guests were at the couple’s wedding. Meanwhile, Times of India reported Munawar Faruqui and Mehzabeen first met for a professional engagement, which eventually turned into a romance.

The rumours of the comedian’s second marriage surfaced online after his fan account put up a post claiming he has wed again secretly. A picture of the wedding invitation has also been surfacing on the internet and is claimed to be that of Munawar’s.

Both Munawar and Mehzabeen have not shared any photos on their social media handles. Another update that fueled the wedding rumours was when Hina Khan, who starred in a song with the Bigg Boss 17 winner, put a photo of herself on her Instagram Stories with the song “Meri Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.”

Previously, Munawar faced controversies after his ex-girlfriend’s Ayesha Khan and Nazila Sitashi accused him of cheating.

This is Munawar’s second marriage. He was previously married and also shares a son with his ex-wife. Mehzabeen’s first marriage also ended in a divorce. During his time in the Bigg Boss 17 house, the stand up comedian got emotional while talking about his son and revealed, “My ex-wife is married now, and I have custody of my son.” In 2022, he had shared in an interview that other than speaking about his son’s expenses, the comedian is not in touch with his ex-wife.
