Veteran actor Moushumi Chatterjee will be appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show this weekend along with actor Reena Roy. From the promos of the episode, it looks like comedian Kapil Sharma will have a tough time surviving in front of the quick-witted Moushumi.

In the latest promo of the episode, Moushumi, who is known for her performance in films like Roti Kapda Aur Makaan and Kucche Dhaage, is seen taking a dig at today’s actors. She said, “Pehle ke hero ko aapko bolna nahi padta tha ki ye hero hai, dikhta tha ki hero hai. Abhi toh baaju mein ho aur poocho hero kaun hai, toh dura bolega, ‘chup, baaju mein hi toh hai’ (Earlier, you need not ask who is the hero as it was quite evident from the looks itself. Today, you won’t recognise a hero even if he is standing next to you).”

Her statement left everyone on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show rolling with laughter. When Kapil tried to compliment Moushumi for delivering one hit after another, she once again pulled his leg, leaving him speechless. Not just Kapil, Moushumi also made Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek forget their lines as she interrupted them during their acts.

Besides Moushumi Chatterjee and Reena Roy, this weekend, The Kapil Sharma Show will also host lyricists and writers like Sayeed Quadri, Faaiz Anwar, AM Turaz, Meshar Afridi, Azhar Iqbal, and Shabbir Ahmed.

Lyricist Sayeed Quadri, who has penned Emraan Hashmi songs like “Bheege Honth Tere”, “Kaho Na Kaho”, “Woh Lamhe”, and “Agar Tum Mil Jao”, gave a funny twist to “Bheege Honth Tere” from the movie Murder. Kapil told him that he is the man behind giving the youth an anthem (“Bheege Honth Tere”) and asked him how did he come up with the lyrics of the song. Quadri responded, “Main Rajasthan ka rehne vala hun. Isliye itni pyaas hai (I am from Rajasthan, hence the thirst).” Kapil suggested he could have written ‘Bheege oonth (camels)’ instead of ‘Bheege Honth’.

The Kapil Sharma Show airs on Sony TV on Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm.
