Kapil Sharma's tweet about corruption has now kicked up a political storm with leaders from BJP and MNS questioning the actor and his allegation levelled.

Comedian Kapil Sharma’s tweet about being asked to pay a bribe by a municipal official to get clearance for his office has now kicked up a political storm with leaders from BJP and MNS questioning the actor and his allegation levelled. After BJP leader Ram Kadam filed a police complaint, MNS issued a warning asking Kapil Sharma to prove his allegations failing which he wouldn’t be allowed to shoot or air his program in Mumbai.
Seeking to assuage the rising political tempers, Kapil Sharma tweeted, “I just voiced my concern on the corruption I faced with certain individuals..Its No blame on any political party be it BJP, MNS or ShivSena.”
Kapil also tweeted back to the Mahrashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena scion Aaditya Thackeray that he would meet them and discuss the issue.
On Friday morning, a frustrated Kapil Sharma tweeted about being asked to pay Rs 5 lakh as bribe to Mumbai civic body BMC for getting his office made. He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying, ‘Yeh hai aapke acche din?’ (Kapil Sharma asks PM Narendra Modi ‘ye hai aapke acche din’, Devendra Fadnavis takes action)
He also mentioned that he has paid Rs 15 crore as tax. “I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi.” (Kapil Sharma tweeted he paid Rs 15 cr as tax. This is how much he earns)
This is probably the first time that comedian-actor took a stand on social media platform. His angst was clearly reflected in his tweets.
Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis reacted to Kapil’s tweet and said, “Have directed MC,BMC to take strictest action. We will not spare the culprit.@KapilSharmaK9 @narendramodi .”
