‘I respect Munawar Faruqui for accepting his mistakes,’ says Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ayesha Khan’s brother

While we saw Vicky Jain’s mother insult Ankita Lokhande on the show, the arrival of Munawar Faruqui and Ayesha Khan’s family is keenly awaited. Ayesha’s brother Shahbaz Khan recently spoke to Indianexpress.com about Ayesha and Munawar’s equation. He also cleared reports about Bigg Boss 17 being a publicity stunt for Ayesha.
Terming his experience on the show as overwhelming, Shahbaz commented, “I liked how both Munawar and Ayesha handled their situation, and they kept it very simple. Munawar apologized, Ayesha accepted it and they both moved on. My interaction with him was a healthy one, I respect Munawar for accepting his mistakes. He could have easily denied all claims from Ayesha, but he owned them up. I spoke to them, cleared things out, and asked them to move on in life. I am very satisfied that they both have sorted things out.”

Shahbaz Khan even addressed accusations of Ayesha Khan doing all of this for publicity. He said, “Before coming on the show Munawar had asked Ayesha to enter with him, but that time Ayesha had refused. If Ayesha wanted limelight, wouldn’t it be easier to have come in then? After her podcast went viral, Bigg Boss makers offered her the show. Ayesha was being accused of framing Munawar, so when she got the opportunity, she took it. Ayesha never wanted to come to Bigg Boss for the limelight. She has a good fanbase so it was never about fame.”
Speaking about Munawar’s past relationships and committing marriage to his sister, Shahbaz said, “I don’t know if Munawar had committed marriage to Ayessha, but seeing the episodes it felt like so. We were never aware of Munawar’s past relationships. But when an incident like this happens, you always have to take a step back. Now before entering any relationship she will always be scared. But as a brother, I am there for her.”

When asked which other contestant besides Ayesha he liked the most, Shahbaz Khan said, “I might have a soft corner for Abhishek, he has a funny side. I didn’t know that. Through the episodes, we only saw him as a Kabir Singh who was fighting. All of them are quite fun, but we don’t get to see that unfortunately.”
Shahbaz will be seen entering the Bigg Boss 17 house tonight or tomorrow.
