Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy welcome twins, a boy and a girl: ‘Twice blessed’

On Tuesday, actor couple Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy welcomed their babies – a boy and a girl. They took to social media to announce the arrival of their twins with a sweet post. “As we embrace this new chapter as a family of four, we are filled with heartfelt gratitude for the love and blessings showered upon us,” they wrote in the caption.

They shared a poster in blue and pink with their arrival date ‘July 25th, 2023’ and two teddy bears. It further read, “Twice Blessed. We’ve been blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl. Hearts brimming with joy and gratitude. We joyously announce the start of our journey as a family of four. Thankful for all the love and blessings. Gautam & Pankhuri.”

Their friends from the industry dropped congratulatory messages on the post. Divyanka Tripathi wrote, “Congratulations to you both! 😀❤️❤️❤️,” while Bharti Singh added, “congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🧿🧿🧿.” Others like Abhishek Malik, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Vivek Dahiya, Mohsin Khan, Meera Deosthale among others also wished Gautam and Pankhuri.

Earlier this year, on Mother’s Day, Pankhuri Awasthy spoke to indianexpress.com about embracing motherhood. The Razia Sultan actor gushed as she spoke about husband, actor Gautam Rode and how he was ‘meant to be a father’. Sharing that he was elated with the news, Pankhuri said, “He has been ready to be a father for a long time, and has always wanted kids. Gautam has also changed a lot, he is more caring, helpful, and protective and he is just.. just right there. He is my first backup for everything, and that too without any saying. And not just physical, but he understands the mental changes and deals with emotional swings so well. Secretly, I think I am enjoying that a lot. I also make sure he’s part of the baby’s development and experiences the kicks. He is definitely more excited than me.”

Recently actors like Gauahar Khan, Dipika Kakar and Ishita Dutta also became mothers.
