Bigg Boss 17: Ayesha Khan addresses her allegations against Munawar Faruqui, says, ‘He never directly promised marriage to me’
Ayesha Khan reveals if she cashed in on Munawar Faruqui's popularity to come on Bigg Boss 17 and the truth behind their relationship.

Closer to Bigg Boss 17 grand finale, another contestant who bid farewell to the Salman Khan-hosted reality show was Ayesha Khan. Ayesha entered the house claiming that contestant Munawar Faruqui had wronged her by making some false promises. She even confronted him and settled scores while on the show. But with that, Ayesha won an image of being publicity hungry. She was even accused of cashing on Munawar’s name and fame to make it to this platform. Now, in an exclusive conversation, Ayesha has addressed all her allegations against Munawar and everything that unfolded thereon.
Not many might know, but Munawar had asked Ayesha to come on the show, right at the start. Commenting on the same, Ayesha said, “It was a normal conversation where Munawar had asked me if I wanted to go on the show so he could speak to the makers. But I always thought that Bigg Boss is not the right place for me. Which is why I had said no earlier.”

Before entering the show, Ayesha Khan had exposed Munawar Faruqui on a podcast, followed by her entry on the show on a controversial note, making everyone wonder if it was for publicity. Talking about the same, Ayesha said, “No matter how much I explain myself, people will believe what they want to. When the podcast happened, I didn’t know that it was a podcast. It was my junior from college, so I just helped her. When I reached there, I saw the podcast set up, but I did it anyway. I never named anybody. I wanted to speak about this issue publicly when it had happened initially. But for various reasons, I kept quiet. I was never in the zone to go on Bigg Boss. My intention was not to come on the show through this.”
When asked if Munawar had promised marriage to her, Ayesha replied, “He did not. I confronted him on the show. He sent a proposal for another girl also and said it was her and me that he was considering for marriage. But he never directly promised marriage to me in any communication.”
Addressing the debate about how unfair it was to drag Munawar’s personal life on national television and not caring that he had a child outside, Ayesha said, “Munawar spoke about his personal life on Lock Upp too. This time also he was the one talking about his personal life. He wasn’t showing the mistakes he made, but I came in speaking the truth and I stand by it. I chose to speak about his wrongdoings. If not for Bigg Boss, I would have spoken about it on social media. People can do wrong, but not speak about wrong being done!”

Stating that she has now gotten closure on the Munawar chapter, Ayesha said, “There were ups and downs, but he apologized even when I left. I believe that it was true.” She even spoke about her issues with Mannara Chopra and the constant poking done on health grounds. Ayesha shared, “I have had several showdowns with Mannara, I got to know certain things she said about me. She has character-assassinated me several times on the show. Everyone called her cheap during the fight after the torture task, but I took a stand for her. People made fun of my health condition too. But when you speak about certain things it shows what kind of a person you are. I tried handling everything as gracefully as I could. I was very upset even when Abhishek’s mental health was made fun of.”

When asked who Ayesha sees winning the title, she took Ankita Lokhande and Abhishek Kumar’s name. “I spent so much time with them, so whoever deserves to win, should. I will be happy if anyone from them wins. It is very tough. Munawar has a strong fanbase, but performance-wise I feel Ankita and Abhishek were much better.”
