Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai actor Aasif Sheikh shares health update: ‘I was brought to Mumbai on wheelchair, on bed rest now’

Aasif Sheikh had reportedly collapsed on the sets of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai while they were shooting for a fight sequence.

Monday was a bad day for the Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai team. The show’s writer Manoj Santoshi passed away in the morning from a liver-related disease and in the evening, news about Aasif Sheikh getting hospitalized took over. It was reported that Aasif was rushed to the hospital after he fell unconscious on the set. Later, a source informed SCREEN that the actor had fainted due to exhaustion. Following the reports, Aasif shared an update about his health. He revealed that he is on bed rest and the incident happened on 18th March.

The 60-year-old actor said in a statement, “I was shooting for Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain at Dehradun and there I started feeling numbness in my foot and then sciatica pain made the situation worse. I was brought on a wheelchair to Mumbai and now I have been advised a complete bed rest. I landed here on the 18th and since then I have been taking rest and my treatment is on. I think for one more week I will take a rest and hope I will be soon in front of the camera.”

Reportedly, Aasif was shooting for an intense fight sequence in Dehradun when he collapsed on set. A source revealed that it all happened due to exhaustion. Right after he fell ill, Aasif received medical help in Dehradun and was later brought to Mumbai.
