Abdu Rozik calls off his wedding with fiancee Amira, says he encountered ‘cultural differences’ with her

Abdu Rozik had gotten engaged in April. The wedding was initially planned for July but has now been called off.

Abdu Rozik, who rose to fame with Bigg Boss 16, left everyone surprised when he announced his engagement in May. Abdu had then announced that he would be getting married in July. Later, he announced that he was postponing his wedding plans and now, he has announced that he is calling off his wedding with Amira. Abdu cited cultural differences as the reason behind their break-up.

Talking about this to The Times of India, Abdu said as their relationship progressed, the two faced some cultural differences which encouraged Abdu to make this decision. He insisted that this was a difficult decision for him. Abdu then said that he needed a “mentally strong partner” who can match up to him as he is “recognised as a person of determination.”

Abdu got engaged to Amira in Sharjah, UAE in April 2024. He had even shared some pictures from the ceremony that took place with their families in attendance. Talking about his engagement back in May, Abdu had told Khaleej Times, “I cannot imagine anything more precious than this love. I cannot wait to start my new journey in life. Everyday life is not easy for me, and finding love seemed an even harder challenge as there are so many obstacles. But Allhamdulillah, I’ve found Amira, and she loves me for who and what I am.”

Abdu’s friends from Bigg Boss 16 – Sajid Khan, Shiv Thakare, and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia were also very excited to learn about his engagement. They had even shared that they planned to attend his wedding in UAE.

On the work front, Abdu will be seen on Bigg Boss 18 next. He will be involved with the show in a special capacity where he will host a special segment for the show.
