Superstar Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his upcoming movie Vettaiyan, helmed by Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel. One of the highlights of the project is that stars from various industries are joining forces in Vettaiyan, making it one of the most anticipated films of 2024. In addition to Rajinikanth, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh in key roles.

Meanwhile, a fortnight after pictures, featuring Thalaivar and Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, shooting for Vettaiyan went viral, another photo has surfaced, intensifying the excitement surrounding the movie.

In the picture, reportedly taken at the shoot location of Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth can be seen getting ready for the shoot while being exuberant as always. Fans of the actor got excited on seeing his latest pictures. One of them commented, “My man slaying in his 70’s.” Another added, “Love You Thalaiva…😍😍😍.”

Last month, Vettaiyan’s makers unveiled its title teaser, offering a glimpse into the film’s world. The promo video opens with a shot of Rajini reading a book with a photo of Subhas Chandra Bose. In another scene, he is seen carrying a lathi, leading to speculation that the actor is playing a college professor in the film. However, before we decide on that, he has shifted to holding a gun. So, the mystery of the nature of his character and the film continues.

Vettaiyan marks the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and Amitabh in 33 years, following their previous project, Mukul S Anand’s Hum (1991). The two have already wrapped up a schedule in Mumbai. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, besides its original Tamil version. Bankrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

After Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth will team up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Thalaivar 171, which will go on floors this year.
