Raayan: Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar join Dhanush’s film

Dhanush directorial Raayan's cast unveiled

New cast members of Dhanush's Raayan unveiled.

Dhanush’s upcoming film Raayan is getting bigger with every passing day. Earlier, it was revealed that the movie will have the much-happening SJ Suryah and Dhanush’s brother, director Selvaraghavan in the lead roles. Now, new actors have joined the team including Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

Posters of the actors from the film have been shared online. Dhanush, who has worked with Prakash Raj in hit films like Thiruvilaiyaadal Arambham and Thiruchitrambalam, has roped in the renowned actor for Raayan. He wrote along with the poster of Prakash, “What a pleasure Prakash Raj Sir.”

Sharing Aparna Balamurali’s poster, Dhanush called her ‘super talented’. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is also part of the film, and she thanked Dhanush for the opportunity in a tweet, “#Raayan was so much fun being directed by you.thank you for having me on board.” The movie also stars actor Saravana of Paruthiveeran fame in an important role.

The film also has Kalidas Jayaram and Sandeep Kishan in important roles. Notably, Sandeep was also part of Dhanush’s last movie Captain Miller. AR Rahman is composing the music for the upcoming film, which is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Other than Raayan, Dhanush also has a movie with Telugu director Sekhar Kammula, which has Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna in important roles. On top of that, Dhanush is also directing another youthful romantic drama titled Nilvaku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, which stars Anaikha Surender, Thomas Mathew and Priya Prakash Varrier, among others.

Looks like Dhanush has a packed schedule for the next two years.
