Ahead of Kamal Haasan’s 69th birthday, the first-look poster of KH234, his second collaboration with director Mani Ratnam, is out. The poster features Kamal Haasan in ragged clothes. Only his piercing eyes are seen in the poster as the rest of his face is hooded.

Below the hooded face, silhouettes of similar figures bearing weapons are seen standing in what looks like a water body. The poster hints that the film could be either a period film or a fantasy one. Looks like, Kamal and Mani Ratnam are up to something huge, keeping with the times of big-budget films.

A teaser, along with the title of the film, is set to be unveiled at 5 PM on Monday.

KH234 is jointly produced by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam under their respective banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies is also in collaboration with the two for the film. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film, while Sreekar Prasad will be editing it. Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran and stunt choreographer duo AnbAriv are other members of the film crew. The cast and other details of the film are yet to be revealed.

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam first teamed up for Nayakan (1987), which was inspired by Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. Now, after a gap of 35 years, the two Tamil cinema icons have come together for a project, which is expected to be released by next year.
