Kanguva song YOLO: With less than a month remaining before the worldwide release of director Siva’s highly anticipated fantasy actioner Kanguva, starring Suriya, Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in the lead roles, the makers are pulling out all the stops to keep the buzz for this big-budget Tamil film at an all-time high. Recently, the movie’s team released a new track from Kanguva, the aesthetics and tone of which stand in stark contrast to the song “Fire” that was released two months ago.

Titled “YOLO” (an acronym for “You Only Live Once”), the latest track is a high-energy banger with heavy beats, crafted as a dance number complete with catchy hook steps. While the “Fire” song had a folk-inspired tone with traditional instruments, “YOLO” embraces a modern, urban vibe, resembling the kind of music one would hear at parties. Although the video is primarily lyrical, it includes snippets from the actual song sequence in the movie, showing the characters played by Suriya and Disha in chill settings, hinting that the track would focus on the bond between them.

Meanwhile, even as the “Fire” song presented Suriya in his Kanguva avatar, surrounded by his clan, “YOLO” introduces the second character played by the actor, which is more sleek and contemporary. The contrast between the two tracks, each set in different time periods, has certainly piqued the audience’s curiosity.

Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the song is sung by the music director himself, along with Lavita Lobo, with lyrics penned by Viveka. Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, Kanguva boasts cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and editing by Nishadh Yusuf. The film is set to hit screens on November 14.
