Jayam Ravi responds to rumours of relationship with Keneeshaa Francis: ‘Don’t involve anyone… she has saved so many lives’
Rumours of a relationship between Jayam Ravi and singer Kenishaa Francis surfaced after the former suddenly announced the dissolution of his marriage with Aarti.

It has been a tumultuous September for Jayam Ravi as his private life became the topic of major contention this month. A day before his birthday on September 10, Ravi released a statement announcing his separation with wife Aarti. Even before the dust could settle in on the breakup of one of Tamil cinema’s most-loved couples, Aarti responded with a statement of her own saying she was blindsided by Ravi’s announcement, and she had no idea this was going to happen. This lead to a lot of speculations on social media, including a purported relationship between Ravi and singer Kenishaa Francis. Ravi, who attended the audio launch of his upcoming film Brother, opened up on this rumoured linkup for the first time since it surfaced.
Talking to the press after the event, Ravi said, “Live and let live. Don’t involve anyone in this. Let personal life be personal. Kenishaa is someone who has come up on her own. She has done over 600 stage shows. She has saved so many lives. She is a healer, and a licensed psychologist.” Talking about his future plans with Kenishaa, the actor said, “We have plans of starting a healing centre to help a lot of people. Please don’t spoil it. Nobody can spoil it too. Don’t involve her unnecessarily.”
All of this started when Jayam Ravi put out the statement that the ‘dissolution of marriage’ was a decision that stemmed from personal reasons that “are in the best interests of everyone involved.” Once Aarti put forth a shocking rebuttal about this decision being “made without my knowledge and consent,” things went awry, and speculations started doing the rounds about Ravi’s alleged relationship with the Goa-based singer. Considering how it is getting increasingly difficult for a celebrity to keep their private life private, it isn’t going to be easy to stop people from theorising or discussing such contentious issues.
Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi’s next film will be M Rajesh’s Brother, which will hit the screens this Diwali alongside Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran and Kavin’s Bloody Beggar. He also has the big-budgeted Genie under production. Directed by Arjunan Jr, Genie, with music by AR Rahman, also features Kalyani Priyadarshan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Krithi Shetty.
