As Rajinikanth‘s Jailer completes 15 days in theatres with more than Rs 500 crore already in the bank at the worldwide box office, the film is seeing major dips in collections. On Thursday, Jailer made Rs 3 crore across all languages in India, taking its 15-day collection to Rs 298.75 crore (nett), according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

While Jailer will cross the Rs 300 crore mark in India today, it’s unclear if it will actually be able to cross the Rs 600 crore mark at the worldwide box office. As of Wednesday, the film’s worldwide collections stood at Rs 566 crore. Interestingly, Jailer is being seen as a comeback for Raijikanth, whose films Darbar and Annaatthe weren’t well received.

While Jailer is delivering strong numbers at the box office, the film’s song “Kaavaalaa”, a dance number featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, is proving to be extremely popular on social media. The track has crossed 150 million views on YouTube, and is immensely popular on Reels.

Director Nelson Dilipkumar had recently dedicated the film’s success to Rajinikanth. At a recent press conference, Nelson had said, “I am a big fan of Rajini. Producer Kalanidhimaran saw the story of the film very close to his heart. That is why there is no compromise anywhere in the construction. Thalaivar’s firm belief in this script is why his fans are enjoying it so much. After watching the movie, he appreciated that it was ten times better than expected. Many people look at me with distrust, but Rajini sir has full faith. That belief came true.”
