GOAT box office collection day 5 early estimates: ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) is all set cross the Rs 150 crore mark in India as it has earned around Rs 8.75 crore on its first Monday, taking the grand total to Rs 145.75 crore, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. The film has also successfully become the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.
GOAT saw a sharp decline on the second day of its release after earning Rs 44 crore on its opening day. The film witnessed a dip of 42.05% on its second day. However, it picked pace on its day three and four with a collection of Rs 33.5 crore and Rs 34 crore, respectively.
According to Sacnilk, GOAT saw an overall occupancy of 41.40% in the Tamil language on Monday. The film had over 2300 shows across India in its original language. With over 900 shows in Hindi, GOAT witnessed an occupancy of 9.83%. The Venkat Prabhu directorial had over 500 shows in the Telugu language and an occupancy of 15.08%. With no major releases this month, the Vijay-starrer film is likely to have a free run.
As per Deadline, Vijay’s worldwide four-day gross stands at an estimated Rs 255 crore. The film is reportedly made on a massive budget of Rs 400 crore. GOAT also stars Prabhudheva, Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, and Meenakshi Chaudhary in pivotal roles. The movie is said to be Vijay’s penultimate film before he shifts his focus completely on politics.
