Dhanush’s next, Idli Kadai, locks April 2025 release date

The film, which is also co-produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, along with Aakash Baskaran’s Dawn Pictures, also features Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam co-star Nithya Menen. In the release date announcement poster, we see him face the titular eatery, which is called Sivanesan Idli Kadai. It will be interesting to see if Dhanush’s character name will be Sivanesan, or if it is named after someone else. 

With music by GV Prakash Kumar, Idli Kadai marks Dhanush’s second straight directorial venture with the composer after Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam.

Dhanush’s other confirmed films include Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy’s next, Tere Ishq Mein with Aanand L Rai, Mari Selvaraj’s historical project, the Ilaiyaraaja biopic directed by Arun Matheswaran, and Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera. Meanwhile, he is also speculated to be headlining Lubber Pandhu director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu’s next.
